What makes you the Next Music Star?

I don’t just want to be the next music star. I want to be the artist someone discovers at 2 a.m. and feels like they’ve been waiting their whole life to find. I’m Sadie Miller, and music has never been something I simply do. It’s who I am. I write from the places most people are afraid to go: obsession, desire, heartbreak, and the beautiful chaos of being human. I turn those feelings into songs that make people feel seen, understood, and a little less alone. I’m an independent artist who has built my sound, my vision, and my identity from the ground up. Every lyric, every melody, every creative decision comes from me. I’m not waiting for someone to tell me who to be. I have the hunger, the vision, and the work ethic to turn this dream into something undeniable. The next music star isn’t just someone you hear. It’s someone you remember. And I plan to be unforgettable.

What do you love about music and performing?

It’s who I am. Music has never felt like a choice for me. It’s always been the one thing that makes the most sense, even when nothing else does. It’s how I process the world, how I express what I can’t put into words, and how I connect with people in a way nothing else allows me to. There’s something indescribable about being on stage. For those few minutes, nothing else exists. It’s just me, the music, and a room full of people feeling something together. I love that a song I wrote alone in my bedroom can become something that means the world to a complete stranger. I don’t perform because I want to be seen. I perform because I have something to make people feel. And there is genuinely nothing in this world that makes me feel more alive.

Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?

My biggest inspirations are The 1975, The Neighbourhood, and The Japanese House. I’ve always been drawn to artists who create entire worlds through their music, where the production, lyrics, visuals, and emotions all tell one story. I love music that feels nostalgic and cinematic, but still raw and painfully honest. The kind of music you don’t just listen to, you live inside of. My dream collaboration would be with Matty Healy and The 1975. Their ability to experiment with sound while making music that feels so deeply personal is something I admire endlessly. I want to create music that pushes boundaries, makes people feel everything, and stays with them long after the song ends.

What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?

I would invest every penny back into my music. As an independent artist, I write my own songs, build my own creative vision, and pour everything I have into bringing it all to life. I’ve learned how to make a lot happen with very little, but $10,000 would give me the opportunity to take everything I’ve been building to the next level. I’d put it toward recording and releasing my upcoming music, creating visuals that bring my songs to life, and getting my music in front of people who haven’t discovered me yet. I’m not looking for a shortcut. I’m looking for the opportunity to give something I’ve dedicated my entire life to the chance it deserves. $10,000 wouldn’t just be prize money to me. It would be an investment in the future I’ve been working toward for as long as I can remember.
