What makes you the Next Music Star?
We've both been obsessed with music since we were young. We're also djs individially, and making music for us has been ongiong journey for 3+ years. Weddo music is the talented main producer in our projects. He specializes in audio engineering work and prefers to use Ableton. HexDoll brings inspiration, lyrics, and spooky melodic vocals. We both play a few instruments. Most of our songs are originals, however we do like to breathe life back into nostalgic throwbacks occasionally. But we have and create alot of music. Not to pitch at big labels, but to have fun together. We release music out there anyway, but on our own. We've even turned down some bigger offers, because we didn't want anyone to dominate/ change our work. We are stars because we don't limit ourselves to one genre. Instead we lean into genrebending and it makes it so much more fun. As well as trying to uplift and collaborate with other small artists.
What do you love about music and performing?
We love performing together. Weddo and HexDoll have this stage chemistry with one another. It's easy to get enveloped with the experience. Performing for us feels like a gift, whether it's in our humble home studio, band practice or even our dj live streams.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Linkin Park and Audioslave always have a big place in our hearts. It would be an honor to collaborate with any artists who vibe with us. There are some extremely talented smaller artists out there. We'd love to work with Paramore, Gorillaz or Cuco.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
Probably invest it all back into supporting our music. And our music community.
