What makes you the Next Music Star?
What makes me a great music star is that my music comes from a real place. When I listen to my own music, I hear the strength, emotion, and potential in it. I’ve dreamed for years of standing on a stage, sharing my music, and finally having people hear my voice. I didn’t grow up with many resources or much support for my music, and there were times I gave up on it. But I never stopped believing in the things I could do with my voice. Brandy and Michael Jackson inspire me so much. Their music feels unique, emotional, and I want to create music that gives people the same feelings. My music carries my stories, vulnerability, and authenticity. I’m a very soft person who cares deeply about people who feel unheard, overlooked, or hurt. I want my music to make people feel seen, inspired, and understood. I know I have a lot to learn, but I also know how bad I want this. If given the chance, I’ll give it everything I have and create music that moves people and leaves something positive behind.
What do you love about music and performing?
Music has been a huge part of my life for a long time. I listen to almost every genre, but I’m always drawn to things that make a song feel like a track full of bliss, riffs and runs, unique vocals, or creative sounds that stick in my head. That allows me to create my own little demos in my head, inspired by random songs I hear through the day. I also love watching artists perform, especially when they have an amazing dance break or really connect with the crowd. It inspires me to keep pushing myself and never give up on music.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I want to create music with beautiful RnB artists like Brandy, Chris brown, and tank. I love the energy they bring to any track and would love to hear my voice next to theirs playing on the radio. They could teach me and help me get better in my music world.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
Me and my family go out every end and feed the homeless and give what we can to support the ones in need. Growing up without money really humbles you as person. I’ve learned to understand and feel for these people who need someone to let them know that they’re is out there that care and I am one of them. If I could help my family get out of the unfortunate circumstances of our lives and the ones who need a shoulder to cry on I’ll to my best to help the ones whom need me. I want my mom to proud of the man she raised because she didn’t have to give me a second chance at life but she did when she adopted me. Giving my mom a better life would literally fulfill my prophecy.
