What makes you the Next Music Star?
I'm here to add to South Asian representation in pop music, and I'm bringing the depth, nuance and millennial optimism back to the pop space! I've been doing this for 9 years and I've had the time to sharpen my pen and my voice. I'm READY
What do you love about music and performing?
I love finding personal connections with the audience, and I love to create an atmosphere of catharsis and healing with my music and my voice. I also love the complex acrobatics my songs permit me to perform live! Getting to arrange them special for each live show is SO exciting for me. I always wanna make sure the audience has fun in their feelings during my sets.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Some of my biggest musical influences would be Destiny's Child, Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Jon Bellion, Lucky Ali, Tinashe and Alanis Morisette! My dream collabs would be Destiny's Child (bring em BACK!), Tinashe, Zara Larsson, Raye, ChloexHalle, Frank Ocean and Beyonce Beyonce Beyonce
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would honestly put it back into the music - splitting the money on marketing, quality production and more live shows would be a DREAM!! This is just the start of more live shows and more music from me <3
