Learn More About Montana Madness
What makes you the Next Music Star?
I'm a 51-year-old line cook from Kellogg, Idaho, making cinematic horrorcore out of a mountain bunker — 44 songs deep, every lyric written by hand, every track produced and mixed by me. Nobody handed me a lane, so I carved one out of Silver Valley rock: industrial trap, 90s boom-bap storytelling, and outlaw grit. I'm not the next anything — I'm the first Montana Madness. The Next Music Star isn't about fitting the mold. It's about breaking it with a sledgehammer and rapping over the pieces.
What do you love about music and performing?
Music is the only place the noise in my head makes sense. I take decades of real life — Seattle rain, Florida heat, eight-hour shifts on the line, 2 AM in the Idaho mountains — and forge it into something that hits like a freight train. Performing is where the vault door opens: me, the beat, and whoever's listening, no filters. If one person in the crowd feels less alone in their own darkness for three minutes, I did my job.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Inspirations: Ice Cube's storytelling, Eminem's cadence, the cinematic dread of John Carpenter scores, and the raw honesty of 90s West Coast hip-hop. Dream collaborators? Put me in a studio with Mike Shinoda or Tech N9ne — rapid-fire technicians who respect the craft. Or let me score a horror film and put Montana Madness where it belongs: in the dark, on the big screen, shaking the seats.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
Straight into the music — no sports cars, no nonsense. Studio upgrades for the bunker, proper music videos shot like dark cinema, and a marketing war chest to push the October singles the way they deserve. Every dollar goes back into the art and the fans. The grind built this; the prize just adds fuel to a fire that's already burning.
