What makes you the Next Music Star?
I believe I’m the next music star because I’m not trying to be anyone other than myself. Music has helped me find confidence, work through anxiety, and become comfortable with who I am, and I want my music to do the same for other people. I’ve worked hard to grow from a shy girl who loved to sing into an artist who can step onstage with a full band and feel completely at home. Along the way, I’ve released music I’m proud of, built an amazing connection with my fans, performed on some incredible stages, and recently won two Josie Music Awards. But I still feel like I’m just getting started. I want people to hear my songs and feel like somebody understands them. I want them to leave my shows happier and more confident than when they walked in. To me, being the next music star isn’t just about having people know my name—it’s about giving them a reason to remember it.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love most about music is the way it can make you feel understood. A song can say exactly what you’re feeling when you don’t know how to put it into words. Music has helped me through some of my own struggles with anxiety and confidence, and I love knowing that my songs might do that for someone else. Performing is where I feel the most confident and the most like myself. There’s nothing better than looking out from the stage and seeing someone singing along, smiling, or connecting with a song. For those few minutes, it feels like everyone in the room is sharing something together. That connection is what makes me want to get back onstage every chance I get. :::
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Some of my biggest musical inspirations are Avery Anna, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, and Taylor Swift. Avery Anna was one of the first artists who made me feel like pursuing music was actually possible for someone like me. I really admire artists who aren’t afraid to be vulnerable, tell their own stories, and still make songs you want to turn up and sing along to. My dream collaborations would definitely include Kelsea Ballerini and Megan Moroney. I love the way they combine honest storytelling with their own personalities and styles. I’d also love the opportunity to collaborate with Avery Anna someday—it would be pretty special to make music with someone who helped inspire me to chase this dream in the first place.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would invest the $10,000 right back into my music and the next stage of my career. As an independent artist, everything from recording and producing new music to creating videos, promoting releases, and taking a full band on the road adds up quickly. This prize would give me the opportunity to reach more people with my music, create higher-quality content, and continue building my live show. I’ve already seen how much can happen when you believe in yourself and keep investing in your dream, so I’d use every dollar to keep pushing forward and turn the momentum I’ve built into something even bigger.
