What makes you the Next Music Star?
My lifelong delay from 9, knowing I was going to be a musician. But had to take a side quest..To NOW! when I AM a musician releasing songs, writing every day and practicing becuase I can’t stop. No more delays, it’s my turn is all.
What do you love about music and performing?
Everything, making people come up to me and say they feel something when I sing. Or with the songs I write, I’ve been alone for many years and warming people, is my life’s work.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Dolly Parton’s music made me cross the ocean from UK to here and spend 14 years out in the Wild West on horseback with my guitar. Her god-daughter Miley, inspirational. SO many artists I literally can’t even begin, to name the inspirations over 40 years of listening to music that saved me but the classics the GREATS of our time the DIVAS, those who have more pain expressed than lyrical or instrument mastery and they save lives with their songs.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would use the $10,000 to give myself the freedom to pursue music professionally. That means being able to take fewer boarding dogs into my home, protect my time and energy for songwriting, recording and performing, and finally release my albums with Joe. I’ve waited since I was nine years old for this opportunity. I’m ready to give my music the attention it deserves.
