What makes you the Next Music Star?
What makes me different is that when I perform, you never know exactly who is going to sing next… me or one of my puppets! I’m a singer, performer, and ventriloquist, and I love combining music with characters, comedy, and storytelling to create something people don’t see every day. Performing has taught me that it isn’t just about having a great voice, it’s about making people FEEL something, giving them a performance they’ll remember, and want to see again. Whether I’m singing by myself or sharing the stage with Ritzen or Roxie, I want people to smile, laugh, and forget about everything else for a few minutes. I’m only 12, and I know I still have so much to learn, but I’m willing to work for it. I have big dreams, I love being onstage, and I’m not afraid to be different. I think the Next Music Star should be someone people remember, and I want to be that person.
What do you love about music and performing?
I love music and performing because it gives me a way to connect with people and make them feel something. I love being on stage, whether I’m singing as myself or performing with one of my puppets. Music lets me tell a story, and ventriloquism lets me add humor and personality to it. My favorite part is seeing people smile, laugh, or sing along. Every time I perform, I get to be creative, challenge myself, and become more confident. I hope I can keep growing as both a singer and a ventriloquist and someday perform for audiences all over the world.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I love that music can completely change the way someone feels. A song can make you laugh, cry, feel confident, or remind you of a moment you never want to forget. My favorite part of performing is connecting with an audience. I love the second before I walk onstage when I’m nervous and excited at the same time, and then the music starts and everything else disappears. When I hear people laugh at something one of my puppets says, they smile during a song, or come up to me afterward and tell me they enjoyed my performance, that is the best feeling. Performing has also given me a place where being different is a good thing. I get to sing, act, tell stories, be funny, and bring characters to life. Every time I step onstage, I want to leave people a little happier than they were before I got there. I’m inspired by performers who have their own style and aren’t afraid to be different. I love artists who can tell a story through a song and completely own a stage
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would use the $10,000 to invest in becoming a better performer and building a future in entertainment. I would put part of it toward professional vocal training, ventriloquism coaching, acting lessons, and opportunities to learn from people in the entertainment industry. I would also use some of it to improve my performances with professional music tracks, equipment, costumes, and possibly even a new character to add to my act. I would love to create high-quality performance videos that would help me audition for bigger stages and opportunities. But I wouldn’t want to spend all of it at once. I would save part of the prize for future auditions, competitions, and travel because I know pursuing a dream takes more than one opportunity. Winning $10,000 would be amazing, but what would mean the most to me is getting to turn the prize into the next step toward doing what I love for a living someday, and kicking off my career as a performer at the Jingle Ball.
