What makes you the Next Music Star?
I've been studying and learning music since I was 4 years old. I moved countries from Canada to the US at 14 to fully give it my all in the music industry! I play piano, guitar, sing, and dance. I'm an independent artist with the passion to make music that inspires people all over the world. I want to bring people together through my music and being the Next Music Star will help me get closer to achieving my dreams. I'm so grateful for the fans and community that I already have and that believes in me and I want to show them that we can do anything we put our minds to.
What do you love about music and performing?
There's everything to love about music... It brings people together, it helps others get through moments in their life to realize they're not alone, it's an expression of art for many, it's so freeing. I love expressing my emotions, life and thoughts through music and being able to perform and connect with my fans and hear them singing along is a feeling like no other. I haven't been able to perform that much since moving to the US so it's definitely a huge goal to tour soon.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
This is the hardest question. So many different artists inspire me in so many different ways. To name a few, I remember being a very young girl and seeing Alicia Keys on the TV playing piano and singing and I immediately said to my parents that I wanted to do that too. As I got older, I loved Bruno Mars and his incredible performing style. Being from Canada, I always looked up to Justin Bieber. He showed me that you can be from a small town and with passion and drive and (of course him being extremely talented in so many ways), you can achieve your dreams. I would love to collab with a fellow Canadian like Justin Bieber, Tate Mcrae, Drake, oh and I love Sabrina Carpenter... she makes the list too.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
With the $10,000 grand prize, I would put it all towards my upcoming music. I would use it for making an EP or album or even a few singles with amazing visuals. It would really help me make that next piece of art for the world that I've been really wanting to make but being independent, finding it hard to do without backing. So more music, more videos, and hopefully... tour.
