What makes you the Next Music Star?
Jo* the definition of fun and whimsy mixed with being down to earth and passionate. Being able to not only Multi-Talented musically but visually and a Communites champion as well. South Florida is arguable known for its radiant talent but Jo* meshes this with a welcoming presence throughout all is ideas. Show has rocked out numerous venues from Atlanta to Miami from 15-100 people Jo* just keeps a drive and an undying love and hunger for the art, progression and work ethic it takes to be where you want to be.
What do you love about music and performing?
Honestly the energy of it all, From the anxiety 2 minutes before performing to feeling elated not knowing what moment will happen next. Shows always feel like a warm hug and bring people together Same goes for music, the moments or nostalgia it gives me along with falling in love with seeing the work progress it’s just something you don’t even recognize yourself lol. Finally getting a sound how you imagine it in your head from sleepless nights is such a beautiful feeling
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Inspirations: Childish Gambino, Jo* Nirvana, Homeshake and Playboi Carti For their styles of work, whether musically, culturally or visually for their genre Dream Collaborations: Homeshake, Steve Lacy, Drake, Frank Ocean
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would invest REALLY take my art overwhelmingly serious and create cool ideas to the next level of performances and starting my career like I should’ve been years ago Most right back into my Music, Media and Journalism + Career help for Artists and Growing Creatives aswell as to me finally making my mom happy and finishing college as well as giving her funds to help her out.
