About Jeiris Cook
There is therapy in music that is unmatched & underrated until you’ve experienced it. I quit my job as a mattress salesman & warehouse manager b/c it was the only answer to the kind of legacy I wanted to leave behind and my voice is badass.

What makes you the Next Music Star?
What makes me the Next Music Star? My ability to amass more votes than the other competitors. Once that’s done….I’ll share a song about my affinity for cawffeh (coffee), specifically medium roast, a little sugar and some half and half. My nephew knows all about it.
What do you love about music and performing?
Music is a form of therapy that can heal in ways modern medicine or traditional therapies cannot. I perform because it’s my way of leaving this world slightly more improved.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I grew listening to lots of soul and Motown of the 60s and 70s and later 90’s R&B. Donnie Hathaway, The Temptations, Michael Jackson (although I can’t dance like him), Boyz II Men are among several who have inspired me over the years. It would be cool to collab with Carrtoons, Victoria Monet or Allen Stone. A Taylor Swift collab would be completely left field for all of us. If she’s down, I’m down.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
You mean after the government takes their share? If there’s any left, I’d buy a mic, MAYBE another guitar and pay bills with the rest. Actually, I might just pay bills with all of it.
