What makes you the Next Music Star?

What makes me the Next Music Star is that I’m not waiting on somebody else to build my career for me. I write, produce and create my own music, perform consistently, and put real work behind every release. I’m from Richmond, California, and everything I’m building comes from real experiences, growth and ambition. From the studio to the stage to putting flyers up around the Bay after work, I’m hands-on with the process. I’ve built a growing catalog that includes Happy Belated, I’m Selling Hope, Bando to the Moon, ME VS ME, and ME VS ME RELOADED, with each project showing a different part of my growth as an artist, writer and producer. I have a team that believes in the vision and helps me execute it. I’m not just trying to have a song — I’m building an artist, a brand and something that can last.

What do you love about music and performing?

Music gives me a way to turn everything I’ve experienced into something people can actually feel. I love creating something from scratch — building the production, writing the record, recording it and then watching that same song connect with people when I perform it live. Performing is different because you get that reaction in real time. Whether there are 20 people in the room or 2,000, I want somebody to leave remembering the music and the energy I brought to that stage. That connection is what keeps me going.

Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?

Music started for me on the drums—hearing the pocket, finding rhythm, even beating on pots and pans before I understood what music could become for me. Growing up in Richmond, I remember going through my sister’s CDs and discovering 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre. Later, I heard Young Jeezy and that energy and motivation lit something in me. My auntie bought me my first CD, Tha Carter III, and from there I was downloading everything Lil Wayne. Eventually, poetry turned into songwriting, beats stayed running through my head, and I realized music was my purpose. I’m inspired by 2Pac’s impact, DMX’s presence and Jadakiss’ raw skill. Dream collaborations for me would be Sade, Billie Eilish, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne and Meek Mill—different sounds and styles that would push me creatively as both an artist and producer.

What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?

I would reinvest the $10,000 directly into taking my career to another level. I already have the music and work ethic, so I’d use the money to expand the machine around it — professional visuals, marketing, promotion, performance opportunities, travel, merchandise and getting the records in front of bigger audiences. A major part would also go toward continuing the boots-on-the-ground promotion we already do throughout the Bay Area while increasing our digital reach. I wouldn’t look at the prize as spending money; I’d look at it as investment capital. The goal would be to turn that $10,000 into momentum that continues working long after the competition is over.
