What do you love about music and performing?
I love that music is the highest level of frequencies you feel—how it alters your vibration, how I was able to reclaim my voice after being told to be quiet and not too loud my entire life. Music is the avenue to shape generations, and as a mother of Six Stars in my Orbit, I choose to lift generations up! Make no mistake, I love having fun testing all genres, which is why I refuse to ever be told to stick to a certain genre, I am limitless! Music is where I was able to dream again, through every dark night journey, which birth out my cinematic trap pop soul and R&B rhythm! Performing is where I let my inner child and my Six Stars in my Orbit shine as brightly through me as they possibly can, Unapologetically!!! Refusing to shrink in another room too small for our greatness ever again!!! It’s my sacred space to remember who I am before I was told who to be—and a mirror for anyone ready to stop playing small for weak-ass approval. I Reign In Sovereignty- Unapologetically!
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest inspiration is my own Soul, my Six Stars in my Orbit, my rebirth journey and the unshakeable power of self-sovereignty, self-love, self- preservation, self- validation, and Individuation! Musically, I draw inspiration from artist and creators that mirror my same energy and frequency, from the heavy, raw, unapologetic energy of contemporary hip-hop and dark cinematic trap soul giants like Future, Rick Ross, and heavy-hitting culture-shapers who command their own empires like Pharrell. I resonate deeply with all of these authentic, individuated artists who's not seeking validation, or chase trends but are the trends ourselves—and The Real Queens of Music; Cardi B, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Tems, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, and Sexxy Red. They are all my dream collaborators because they too operate as self-made moguls, who understand what it means to build an entire universe from scratch, and who aren't afraid to break the mold to create authentic culture-shifting art.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
When I win the $10,000 Grand Prize, every single dollar will be spent on bringing my younger children home. After enduring years of profound trials, surviving a near-fatal domestic violence relationship, and facing an agonizing separation where my children were continuously withheld from me, my livelihood and peace were nearly stripped away. But as a mother, silence was never an option. This prize will provide the vital resources needed to legally and practically reunite my babies under one roof again. It is about showing my kids firsthand that no matter what we go through, or how hard life tries to break us, separate us, or keep us apart, ain't no mountain high enough for a mother's love. When you stand in your truth, refuse to be silenced for another day, and refuse to back down against bullies, you rise from the dust. Winning this is about claiming the ultimate self-victory—bringing my babies home and showing them that we are our own standard, and we will never settle again.
