What makes you the Next Music Star?
Hollow Eyes is built on pure, unadulterated Midwest grit. We have survived five years of brutal lineup changes, geographical hurdles, and the temptation to throw in the towel. We didn't stop because we believe in these songs too much to let roadblocks kill our dream. Today, we have a weaponized, rock-solid lineup that delivers high-energy Death/Thrash with zero compromise! We don't just sit back and wait to be found; we actively fight for our spot every single day! Our music commands the stage, orchestrates absolute mosh pit madness, and our songwriting stands on its own merits—earning independent industry review scores of 83 & 91 out of 100 for our breakout track 'Salt for Blood,' with specific praise for its standout guitar work. In a world flooded with algorithm-generated tracks; Hollow Eyes is the undeniable proof that real, live, uncompromising heavy metal is about to take over the world again. We have the cadence, the dedication, and the live presence to be the Next Music Star!
What do you love about music and performing?
The raw, electric energy of the live room. There is nothing like looking out from the stage and seeing a crowd completely let loose—headbanging, windmill hair flinging, and knocking things over. Music is a universal release for people, and being the catalysts for that chaos is addictive. Performing is where the blood, sweat, and years of tireless practice behind the scenes finally transform into a shared experience with a community. We love building that fierce, loyal connection with fans from the very first riff.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Our musical DNA is rooted in the relentless power, inspiring technicality, and powerful visuals of Death Metal & Thrash Metal. We blend those massive grooves with the crushing intensity of bands like Exodus, Slayer, Suicide Silence, & Trivium. Down the road, we would love nothing more than to collaborate or sit down and chop it up on a couch with Chris Garza on his podcast! His dedication to the heavy music scene and his platform for independent artists perfectly align with the exact grinding momentum we are building right now.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
Every single penny of that grand prize will be funneled directly back into the engine of this band to elevate us to the next professional tier! We will head straight into a high-end recording studio to lay down the songs to finalize our upcoming debut album! We would also press high-quality physical merchandise for our fans! Additionally, it will act as the direct tour-support budget to help us fund a vehicle big enough to haul our gear out of Illinois and hit the road for an aggressive DIY tour, taking our raw live energy straight to new cities and audiences across the country!
