About Greynight
Greynight is where darkness meets melody. Blending cinematic electronics, dark synthwave, and metal influences, I transform raw emotion into immersive soundscapes. My music explores love, obsession, pain, and the beauty found within darkness.

What makes you the Next Music Star?
I believe what makes me the Next Music Star is my ability to turn deeply personal emotions into music that others can find themselves in. As Greynight, I create cinematic, genre-blending music that explores the beautiful and sometimes uncomfortable parts of being human: love, obsession, heartbreak, vulnerability, and resilience. I’ve spent years independently developing my sound, writing my music, and finding my identity as an artist. I don’t chase trends or try to fit neatly into one genre. I want to create something that feels unmistakably mine. I may not have the biggest audience, but I have an unwavering passion for what I create. I believe music should make people feel something, even when those feelings are difficult. That’s what I want Greynight to represent.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love most about music is its ability to express what words alone sometimes cannot. Music has always been a way for me to process emotions, tell stories, and give a voice to things that are difficult to explain. There is something incredibly powerful about taking an experience, whether beautiful or painful, and transforming it into something another person can connect with. Singing allows me to become completely immersed in those emotions. Every lyric, every melody, every breath carries a piece of the story. For me, performing isn’t about being the center of attention. It’s about creating a moment where the music becomes bigger than the person singing it. If someone hears one of my songs and feels understood, even for a moment, then I’ve accomplished something meaningful.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I’m inspired by artists who aren’t afraid to experiment, challenge genre boundaries, and create music with a strong emotional identity. Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy has been one of my biggest inspirations because of his distinctive voice, expressive songwriting, and ability to blend different styles into something uniquely his own. More recently, I’ve also been inspired by Vessel of Sleep Token, especially his emotional intensity, haunting vocal performances, and willingness to push genre boundaries. I gravitate toward atmospheric electronic production, cinematic arrangements, haunting melodies, and the intensity of metal. I admire artists who can balance vulnerability with power, creating something that feels both intimate and larger than life. My dream collaboration would be with Patrick Stump or Vessel—someone who shares that passion for storytelling and experimentation and is willing to blend unexpected sounds into something neither of us could have imagined alone.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would reinvest the prize into Greynight and the future of my music. As an independent artist, I personally fund my releases, setting aside money from my regular paycheck and putting my earnings back into my creative work. Every song represents countless hours of writing, recording, collaboration, and careful production. Winning $10,000 would allow me to expand what I can create without compromising the quality and artistic vision I’ve worked so hard to establish. I’d invest in professional production, mixing and mastering, music videos, and promotion to reach listeners who haven’t discovered Greynight yet. More than anything, it would give me the opportunity to spend less time worrying about how to afford my next release and more time doing what I love: making music.
