What makes you the Next Music Star?
I don’t know if there’s one specific thing that makes someone the “Next Music Star.” What I do know is that I truly love music. I love writing, performing, creating, and connecting with people through something that means so much to me. Music isn’t just something I do—it’s what I’m passionate about and what I want to continue building my life around. I’ve learned that this journey takes hard work, perseverance, and believing in yourself even when things don’t happen overnight. I’m willing to keep growing, learning, and putting in the work. If I’m given the opportunity to share my music with more people and make someone feel something through a song I’ve written or a performance I’ve given, that would be an absolute honor. To me, being the Next Music Star isn’t just about being known—it’s about having the opportunity to connect with people through music and doing what I love every day.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love most about music is that it’s universal. No matter where you come from, what you’ve been through, or who you are, music has a way of bringing people together. I love every part of it—listening to music, writing it, and especially performing it. Performing is probably my favorite because there’s nothing like connecting with people in person and sharing that moment with them. I also love how every song gives you the chance to tell a different story. One song can be emotional and vulnerable, while the next can be fun, energetic, and make everyone want to dance. Being able to take people on that journey with me onstage is one of my favorite feelings in the world.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
It’s so hard to choose because I’m inspired by so many different artists. Billie Eilish, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé are definitely some of my biggest inspirations. They each have such a distinct sound and identity, and I admire the way they use their voices, performances, and music to tell a story. Collaborating with any of them would be a dream. I would also love the opportunity to work with artists like Reneé Rapp, RAYE, SZA, or Victoria Monét. They are all incredible artists who bring something unique to music, and I think creating something together would be amazing.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
Winning the $10,000 Grand Prize would give me the opportunity to invest directly into my music career. I would use a portion of it to travel with my band and perform in new cities across the country, reach new audiences, and continue building my career as an independent artist. I would also love to use part of the money to help my family financially, especially with some of my mom’s medical expenses. My family has supported me throughout this journey, so being able to give something back to them would mean a lot to me. There are so many ways this prize could make a real difference in both my career and my family’s life. I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity and would make sure I used it to keep moving forward, creating music, and sharing it with as many people as possible.
