What makes you the Next Music Star?
I’m not just an artist, I’m a storyteller, creator, and survivor who turns real-life experiences into music people can connect with. My name, Dee Alkemist, represents what I do: I take the pressure, pain, lessons, victories, and experiences of life and turn them into something powerful. I bring authenticity, versatility, energy, and a message to my music. I’m not trying to sound like anybody else or follow whatever trend is popular. I’m building my own sound, identity, and movement. What makes me the next music star is that I have a story worth hearing, the work ethic to keep growing, and the determination to turn every chapter of my life into something that inspires somebody else.
What do you love about music and performing?
I love that music can say what sometimes words alone can’t. A song can reach somebody at their lowest point, give them confidence, make them dance, or remind them that they’re not alone. Performing takes that connection to another level. I love being able to step on a stage and completely transform the energy in the room. Whether I’m making people think, feel, laugh, turn up, or reflect on their own lives, I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to do. Music gives me a voice, but performing gives me the opportunity to share that voice directly with people. There’s nothing like watching a crowd connect with something that came from your own mind and experiences.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest inspirations are artists who have been able to create their own lane while saying something meaningful through their music. Artists like Tupac, Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and OutKast have all influenced the way I look at hip-hop, storytelling, lyricism, and longevity. My dream collaborations would be with artists who challenge me creatively and bring something different to the table. I would love to work with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Nas, and Jay-Z, while also collaborating with newer artists who are pushing hip-hop forward. Ultimately, I want collaborations that create something bigger than either artist could have made alone.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would put the $10,000 directly into building my music career and creating opportunities that continue long after the contest is over. I would invest in professional recording, production, music videos, photography, marketing, promotion, and live performance resources so I can put my music in front of a much larger audience. I would also use part of the money to create high-quality visual content that tells my story and strengthens the Dee Alkemist brand. Most importantly, I wouldn’t treat the prize like spending money. I would treat it like an investment. The goal would be to turn $10,000 into momentum, exposure, new opportunities, and ultimately a sustainable career as an artist.
