Learn More About DaSoulKid
What makes you the Next Music Star?
What makes me the Next Music Star is an unwavering drive, born from resilience and the streets of Chicago. My journey from leaving foster care to graduating high school and successfully accomplishing my HVAC degree from Midwest Technical Institute has taught me how to overcome any obstacle. Through every triumph and tragedy, I've built a life as a father, a gamer, and an entrepreneur, running my own LLC to fund and further my music career. My dedication, drive, and refusal to ever quit are what set me apart.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love most about music and performing is the electrifying connection I share with my fans. There is nothing quite like seeing them sing along to my lyrics, knowing they understand my journey, and seeing the genuine smiles in the crowd. I thrive on the energy of rocking a live show, controlling the room, and bringing a visual element through dance to create an unforgettable experience. My ultimate goal as an artist is to provide a total release, a sonic vacation that lets people step out of their everyday lives, let loose, and just have fun. Creating that vibrant, immersive atmosphere and succeeding as a performer who can genuinely uplift and entertain others is what brings me the truest happiness.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My greatest music inspiration is Musiq Soulchild. In fact, I drew my name directly from his to show homage and express my deep love for soul music that evokes deep emotion and love. My dream collaborators include MusiqSoulChild of course, T Pain, j.cole ,Chris Brown, Drake and Eminem. I admire their incredible artistry, longevity, and genuine connection with fans, and I would love the opportunity to learn and grow from such legends in the industry.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would invest the ten thousand grand prize directly into funding future business endeavors. This includes expanding initiatives in culinary arts, apparel, cannabis, and HVAC services, while also supporting my fiancée with her photography dreams! Also one day make it official!!
