Learn More About Colton Avery
What makes you the Next Music Star?
I know first hand what it's like to chase a dream, lose yourself in it, and find your way back. I've experienced the incredible highs of playing on a stadium tour,, followed by the humbling lows of working as a nightshift service writer and foreman at a Mack (Semi-Truck) dealership. Somewhere between the two I learned the most important lesson of my life: Never put your worth in a dream. With that in mind; this isn't my first shot. It's my second chance. This time I'm not chasing a dream to prove who I am. I know who I am and I'm ready to use what I have to serve as many people as I can.
What do you love about music and performing?
I love how music connects us. I love how one song can bring a room full of complete strangers together for a shared experience while simultaneously containing a unique emotional connection and backstory for each individual. Music and performing also reveal to us the deeper truths to life, and in that we all find each other.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest inspirations are Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller Band, Dominic Fike, Quinn Xcii, John Mayer, and The Eagles.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would use it to propose to my girlfriend.
