What makes you the Next Music Star?
I think sometimes the people who dream the biggest are the ones who look the most ordinary on the outside. I’m a wife, a mom, and a singer-songwriter building a music career from the ground up, figuring things out as I go. I don’t have a big team behind me or an unlimited budget. I just have a voice, a vision, and this feeling that I’m meant to give this a real shot. I want to make music that makes people feel understood, powerful, and a little less alone. I’m not here because I think I have everything figured out. I’m here because I believe in what I could become, and I’m willing to put in the work to find out. I want people to look at my journey and be reminded that you don’t have to have an extraordinary life to do something extraordinary.
What do you love about music and performing?
Music has always been a way for me to express feelings that are sometimes difficult to put into words, but performing has shown me something even more special. I’ve only had a few opportunities to get up on stage so far, and I was nervous every time. But I did it anyway. And when I was up there, I felt alive. There’s a kind of magic I feel when I sing in front of people that I can’t quite explain. It’s like a part of me comes alive that I don’t always get to express in everyday life. Those experiences gave me the confirmation I needed that this is something I want to pursue, even when it scares me. I love that music can make people feel understood, empowered, and less alone, and I want to create those feelings for others through my songs and performances. I want people to leave feeling something they didn’t feel when they walked in.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I’m inspired by artists who aren’t afraid to bring personality, vulnerability, and power into their music. I love Taylor Swift’s storytelling, Sabrina Carpenter’s wit and confidence, Gracie Abrams’ emotional honesty, Noah Kahan’s ability to make deeply personal stories feel universal, and Faouzia’s incredible vocal power and her amazing songwriting with experiential sound. I’m also drawn to the fresh energy and authenticity of artists like Bella Kay and Ella Langley. My dream is to collaborate with artists who make me want to push myself creatively and vocally, while bringing something of my own to the table. I’d love to work with artists who aren’t afraid to experiment with sound, tell the truth in their lyrics, and make music that connects with people on a deeper level.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I’d invest it directly into my music career. I’m building independently, so every dollar I put into my music has to be intentional. I’d use the money toward professional recording and production, quality visuals, and strategic promotion to help my songs reach a bigger audience. I’d also invest in developing my vocals and live performance so I can continue growing into the artist I envision becoming. Right now, I’m doing my best to build momentum with the resources I have, and $10,000 would allow me to take some of the steps that are currently out of reach. I’d treat it as an investment in my future, not a finish line. I want to build a lasting career, and I’d use this opportunity to give that career a stronger foundation.
