What makes you the Next Music Star?
I want to make music my career and become an artist whose songs mean something to people. My dream is to perform for audiences who genuinely connect with my music and create songs that my future fans can enjoy and relate to. As a singer/songwriter, music gives me a way to express what is difficult to put into words. I know I am at the very beginning of my journey, but I'm willing to put in the work and keep growing as an artist. More than anything, I want to make something that means something to someone.
What do you love about music and performing?
I love singing and playing guitar because music makes people feel connected to what is not always known. There's something special about sharing a song with someone and knowing it can make them feel understood. When I perform for people, I feel that connection too. It's hard to put into words how meaningful that is. I've always loved music and it will always be special to me. I love the idea that a song I write and perform could become part of someone's life and mean just as much to them as it does to me.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest inspiration has been watching Harry Styles perform, through online clips. He makes it look so fun and his fans have such a great time, feeling that connection to his music and performance. Sienna Spiro and Sombr have also inspired me so much, seeing how young they are and how they began building their careers and sharing music with the world. It makes my own dream feel possible. I'd love to collaborate with any artists who puts genuine emotion into their music like them, and create songs that make people connect with one another.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would use the $10,000 towards building and creating more opportunities in my career to share my music with people. I'd use it to fund live performances, book, host gigs, cover travel expenses, and invest in resources I need to grow as an artist. Every opportunity to perform, meet new people, and get my music out into the world would be a step towards the career I've been dreaming of. Winning would mean more than just prize money to me. It would be a chance to take my music further!
