What makes you the Next Music Star?
I think what makes me the Next Music Star is that I'm using music to create connection and make a difference. Every song I write comes from a real place, and I hope people hear pieces of their own story in it. Whether it's heartbreak, healing, or finding your way through a difficult season, I want my music to remind people they're not alone. I'm also proud to serve as a Youth Ambassador for Operation Smile, helping raise awareness for children born with cleft conditions and other facial differences. Mental health is another cause that's close to my heart, and I believe being open about our struggles helps others feel seen and supported. I've worked hard for every opportunity that's come my way, but what matters most is the impact I can have on others. If given a bigger platform, I would use it to share my music, encourage people through life's challenges, and continue supporting causes that are bigger than myself.
What do you love about music and performing?
Music has always been where I make sense of the world. It's how I celebrate, heal, and connect with people. My favorite part of performing is watching a song become someone else's story. Whether it's a crowd singing back every word or someone coming up after a show to tell me a song meant something to them, those moments never get old. There's nothing more rewarding than bringing people together through music.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley are two artists I really admire because they've stayed true to themselves while creating their own paths in country music. Their authenticity, work ethic, and storytelling inspire me. I also grew up listening to Jo Dee Messina and have always loved her energy, confidence, and the way she connects with her audience. Artists like Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, and Kelsea Ballerini have influenced me as well because they aren't afraid to be honest and vulnerable in their songs. If I could collaborate with anyone, Lainey Wilson would be at the top of my list. I love her songwriting and the way she's built a career by simply being herself. I'd also love to work with Ella Langley because of the grit and personality she brings to her music. They create the kind of authentic connection with listeners that I hope to create through my own music.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I'd invest in a van for my band so we could spend more time on the road connecting with fans and reaching new audiences. I'd also use the opportunity to plan a college campus tour, performing for students while raising awareness for two causes that are close to my heart: Operation Smile and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Music has the power to bring people together and start meaningful conversations, and I would love to use a larger platform to make an impact both on and off the stage. This prize would help me continue growing my career while supporting causes that help change lives.
