What makes you the Next Music Star?
I'm an example of what's possible when you keep going, stay true to yourself, and let your work speak. My album Secret Wars came from that . I've got the voice, the story, and the drive to keep growing. Give me a bigger stage and I'll fill it!
What do you love about music and performing?
Music is how I turn everything I've lived through into something people can feel. On stage, the room and I trade energy back and forth. I love the moment when a crowd knows every word, and when somebody tells me a song got them through a hard day. That connection is why I do it.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest inspirations are the artists who built their own lane and stayed true to their sound. My dream collaborators are artists and producers who push boundaries, like Bryson Tiller and Tems. I want to make records that cross genres and bring people from different worlds together.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I'd put it straight back into the music. I'd fund studio time, professional videos, marketing and touring, and I'd keep building my merch line, Gator Boys Stay Hot. The rest would go toward bringing my team and my city along with me. I'm already doing a lot on my own, so this would let me take it to the next level.
