What makes you the Next Music Star?
I feel what makes me the next music star is that I don’t just want people to hear my music, I want them to feel it. I love story-telling. I’ve spent my life telling stories through dance, and now I’m finding my voice through music. I want to create songs that make people feel seen, confident, and less alone. I want to share my passion for music and dance performing on stages all over the world. I’m ready to work hard, grow, and show the world who Alyssa Wong really is as an artist.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love most about music and performing is storytelling. I’ve always shared my passion and emotions through movement, and now I get to express another side of myself through singing. I love connecting with people and making them feel something through what I create. Being able to combine music, movement, and storytelling is where I feel most like myself.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
My biggest music inspirations are Tate McRae, Sienna Spiro, and Bella Kay. I really connect with artists who are emotional, raw, and honest in their music. Tate especially inspires me because we both come from competitive dance, and I love how she combines movement and music to tell a story. I’d dream of collaborating with artists like them and creating something that people can truly feel.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
I would invest the $10,000 into bringing my passion for music to life through new music, videos, and live performances. I’d also use it to create opportunities for talented dancers to join me on stage and in my projects, giving them a platform to showcase their passion too. I want my journey in music to create opportunities not only for me, but for other young artists and dancers to shine alongside me.
