What makes you the Next Music Star?
What makes me the Next Music Star is that I’m not just creating music, performing, or dancing, I’m creating worlds that people can step into and feel part of something bigger than themselves. I’m ALE AL, a Colombian born, LA based bilingual pop artist, singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, pianist, and performer. I grew up loving larger than life energy of 2000s pop, and I’m bringing it into the GEN Z culture through my Latin roots, bilingual music, fashion, storytelling, and performance. I’ve opened for Latin artists like Daddy Yankee and Christian Nodal, experiences that shaped me as a live performer. I’m building a universe where every song has a visual identity, a memorable dance, and vocals you can feel. Every era tells a story, and my audience grows with me. I create pop that makes you dance, feel, remember, and see yourself differently. I’m creating music in English and Spanish, breaking barriers, and building a future where being Latina and a global pop star exist together.
What do you love about music and performing?
What I love the most about music and performing is the opportunity to create an unforgettable experience with a real purpose and meaning behind the show or a song. I have always envisioned myself having large crowds of people that I can inspire to make them dream bigger. I love being able to sing and express every emotion deeply, dance and move my body towards the music I've created, play the piano and make our hearts feel in a safe place to cry, laugh, sing, and visualize ourselves stepping into higher realities. I am in love with creating music that makes you feel different parts of your own identity, your lover side, your crazy side, your powerful alter ego, or even your vulnerable side that no one really knows. I want the world to see me, listen to me, and connect with the purpose that I have as musician to unify our energies and make our dreams come true.
Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators?
I will never forget the first time I saw and listened to Ariana Grande. She was exactly what my dreams looked like every time I said out loud that I wanted to be a Pop Star. Growing up, I began to immerse myself in the history of Pop music, learning so much from my idols: Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, and my Latina Queen, Shakira; the one who made me believe even bigger that a girl like me could make bilingual Pop music, and bring my Latin roots to the biggest stages, become part of Pop Culture. When it comes to my dream collaboration, it’s impossible to choose just one name, if I’m being honest. I allow myself to dream so big. I can truly see myself collaborating with artists like Rosalía, Karol G, Shakira, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Miley, and even Lady Gaga... which would be absolutely insane! But I believe with all my heart that if something is placed in my vision, it’s because a higher timeline of myself is already living it.
What would you do with the $10,000 Grand Prize?
With 10,000 as a grand prize I would invest it all in the creation of my next music project; but I want to say that the biggest grand prize for me is the opportunity to show the world who I am as an artist, as a singer, songwriter, dancer, I want to show the world what I can do and how I can make them feel in a show with my own music, and my own performance. In this opportunity with the Christmas magic that the Jingle Ball brings to life, I would be honored to perform a beautiful show, and it would be one of those moments in life where dreams come true not only visualzing it but also workig really hard. I’ve been pursuing this dream since I was 13 years old, and today, at 22, I know I want to do this for the rest of my life because I love it with all my heart and I was born to be a Latina Pop Star.
