• What do you love about music and performing? I love telling and conveying stories with music. When I listen to music, I feel like it should take me on a journey and majority of the music. I listen to does just that. I love that music can take you to another realm outside of this world. Music is a safe space that you can travel to if performed right. One thing I love about performing is the people and their energy. I love to see the smiles and them engaging. I love to bring people to the place where I am in song.
• Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators? Some of my biggest music inspirations are Whitney Houston, Brandy, Fantasia, Faith Evans is a big one also. People don’t know, but Terrell Grice is an inspiration to all musically. He inspires me so much. He gives platforms to so many artists that we don’t see or hear about. I’d love to collaborate with so many people Faith Evans, Fantasia, Robert Glasper. and I would love to do some acoustic vibe song with HER and Tori Kelly. I’d love to do something with Tank and Joe too.
• What makes you the Next Music Star? I am the next music star because I believe I have what it takes to take the world by storm with my voice. When people see that singers that have a church background, they expect a church sound from their voice, but my voice is eclectic which means I can go from gospel to R&B to soul you name it, I’m good at any challenge that’s put in front of me. I genuinely love music. I sleep eat and breathe music. Im ready for this stage of my life fulfilling my musical success. I’m that one in a million.
• What would you do with the $10,000? $10,000 is a lot of money for someone like me. I’d probably put some in my savings and the rest into getting a single or an album out. I have so many written songs that just have not been put to music. Being in the studio cost money advertising and things like that cost so this would help a bunch. I have such a great vision for what my music will sound like what advertising and marketing will look like and this money would just be a great start. I’m ready to invest in me.
