Hi! It's me - Olivia Ruby! I am 24 years old from Ohio. I was previously in a girl-group called "Boys World" but we disbanded last year so now I am focusing on my own musical journey! My biggest passion is bringing my own artistry to life and building a community of people who can dance and also cry to my music. I'm super inspired by visual storytelling, nostalgic aesthetics, movies and people's life stories. More than anything, I want my music to feel like a safe space! So excited to be here!!

- What do you love about music and performing? Ever since I had my first performance at a talent show in elementary school singing "Who Says" by Selena Gomez, I knew that I had found what I loved doing the most in life: music. I did a series on YouTube called "I Wrote A Song For You" series where people would send me their life stories and I would make songs for them. I made everyone feel seen in my community I built and I love how music does that for so many people. Music is so much more than music; it's a universal language <3
- Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators? OOoo great question. My dream collaboration would be Labrinth. I would DIE to make a whimsical, siren esc song with him. I think we could make something very special. My biggest music inspiration is myself. I know that sounds egotistical but the life experiences, turmoils & relationships that I have dealt with on my lil human journey is my constant source of inspo. Sometimes melodies or lyrics pop into my head and I get shocked. OR I will find a new angle to look at things randomly and write.
- What makes you the Next Music Star? I honestly don't think anything special makes me the Next Music Star. I am just here to build a cute lil community and share my music with every beautiful soul that wants to listen and if it resonates to the masses then that's a plus. I just want to share the way I look at things through my lyrics, melodies and my visuals.
- What would you do with the $10,000? Girl, a-lot. That would actually change my life. I am in debt and I am also self funding my debut project/ album myself fully independent. After my group disbanded, It was very hard. I was and still am juggling the loss of what could've been, the job market being really bad, getting interviews and no call backs for a job, making music on a non-existent budget, saving up for a car + note having my license yet etc. I would be forever grateful for it. It would change the trajectory of my 2025.
