About Mikk
I’m a 24 year old musician who has been making music and writing poetry since I was 12 years old. I love to sing & rap, but rapping is my strongest musical talent. I’ve been trying to balance college and music for 6 years now, and I finally decided to go after my dreams and what I’m passionate about. I’m from Milwaukee, WI and I’ve won multiple talent shows for my music. My music style is outside of the box, I like to rap about the trials and tribulations of life and growing up in Milwaukee, WI.

- What do you love about music and performing? I love how I’m able to tell a story through music and connect with people through situations I’ve gone through and shared with the world. I could be going through anything no matter if it’s good or bad, and I get to let it out in a creative way. Music is like my diary, I put on a beat and speak from my heart without the fears of being judged.
- Who are your biggest music inspirations and dream collaborators? My strongest music inspiration is Nicki Minaj. She’s the reason I started rapping, I rapped a verse from a song of hers called Fly ft Rihanna at my 8th grade graduation and every since then I fell in love with making emotional music that reflects my feelings. Some of my other big musical inspirations/ dream collabs are Drake, Rod Wave, Lil Durk, NBA YoungBoy, Toosii, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, & Tory Lanez because they all make emotional/heartfelt music that I can relate to.
- What makes you the Next Music Star? What makes me the Next Music Star is, I make music that reflects me no matter what other people think of my music. I make real and authentic music that I know people can relate to. My music tells the stories of heartbreaks, love, life & death, failures, triumphs, God, confusion, doubt, depression, loneliness, anxiousness, and wanting to be successful. All my music has a deep personal connection to me, & I think it’s cool that I’ve been able to touch so many people and connect with them as well.
- What would you do with the $10,000? If I won the $10,000 I would give back to the people who’ve been supporting me on my journey. I would want to let them know that I appreciate them and their support doesn’t go unnoticed. I would also spend some of the money on studio time and video shoots. I think it would help me be able to put out music more consistently and the quality of the music would be better as well.
