George my friend, mentor, and the mastermind behind Parliament-Funkadelic didn’t just make music; he reinvented it. He created a sound that had never been heard before, bending the rules and reshaping the industry. Then there’s Sly Stone a true revolutionary. He didn’t just make hits, he changed a generation, whether they were ready or not. He was the hippiest of the hippies, the blackest of the blacks completely one of a kind. Everything about him was groundbreaking. No one had seen girls on trumpets or wah-wah pedals on keyboards until he made it happen. Both George and Sly didn’t just influence music—they redefined it. Their impact on sound, style, and culture is undeniable, and their fearless creativity continues to inspire me every day. If I could collaborate with anyone, it would be Childish Gambino no question. The way he approaches funk is on another level. Funk has evolved since I first started making music, and in today’s world, nobody does it better than him. I want to take what made this music great and transform it into something fresh, something the new generation can vibe with while still keeping its raw, organic essence. I just released an album, and I’m ready to take it to the next level by pressing it on vinyl. There’s nothing like holding a record in your hands, feeling the grooves, and experiencing the music the way it was meant to be heard. But that’s just the beginning. I'd also use the money to get into the studio, make more new music, and keep the funk alive. Beyond my band's projects, I want to elevate my record label, Wefunk Ad2k Entertainment, and bring in fresh talent—artists who are ready to innovate and push the sound forward.
